Early PCGS 1970's Lincoln proofs versus ones graded by NGC

Early PCGS 1970's Lincoln proofs versus ones graded by NGC.

I am thinking about getting myelf a 1976 Lincoln in PCGS PR69DCAM or NGC 69UCAM. I have been looking at a few and dont really see any difference in the quality, but i do notice that the PCGS ones are 50 or 80 dollars more.

How is NGC grading Lincolns? I am not sure I want to pay that much more just because it is in a different slab... and I cant seem to find a nice raw one that doesnt have carbon spots on it.

what does everyone think about NGC versus PCGS on grading Lincolns?

thanks
michelle

The pre-zinc 70's Lincolns are kinda hard to find clean. As for the grading, in my opinion, it's kind of a toss up, I've seen strong and weak pieces in both slabs. I have a 76 in a proof set that'd be a strong candidate for 69DCAM, but it's from a group of coins my dad had and gave to me a while back, so they stay as is.
