Who has a Coolpix 3100, and can you attach a pic?

I am about a pub1c hair away from buying one, but i still havent. I am torn between seeing if they go on sale after x-mas, or just goinging ahead and getting one. I want to do nice close-ups, and am tired of using my sony trv-900.
If you use a Coolpix 3100, how hard was it to figure out how to use, and how fast were you able to take nice pictures of your coins?
