It's is not the frost that is important
It is the fields that make or break a CAM.
The fields do not look deep enough

If the images are an accurate representation, I think the first Kennedy would make it in to a cameo holder at PCGS, and the second is about a 50/50 shot. Both are actually right on the cusp of the mirror depth that PCGS likes, with the first having slightly better contrast. BTW, those are pretty typical mirrors on the '66. Very hard to find them with no mint frost.

As for the Lincoln, I don't think it has the mirrors they look for.

PCGS is being verrry tight right now with the SMS cameos ... I sent in 1965, 1966 and 1967 SMS JFKs, all doubled dies to boot, expecting CAM on all of them and went 0-for-3. I could see, perhaps, missing one, but all three? image

HMM...I went 2-for-3 on my last submission. image You're right, though, they're tighter than hell right now.

I don't think that cent has the contrast to go CAM....

No way on the cent, I think. It would be a long shot on the halves, because(don't get me wrong, I think they are very nice and I especially like the first one) I have seen too many coins with about that level of contrast in non-CAM holders to get my hopes up too high.

Hey, thanks to all that replied. Your answers to the question in an explanatory way help both me and others who don't know. I will be submitting the one Lincoln. As good as my picture taking has gotten, I still can't photograph copper! I don't know why as yet, but will definitely be experimenting some more. I really believe the one Lincoln will cam. I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks again for your much appreciated replies.....Ken
