Re-imaging

Since it's so Dead here tonight I decided to re-image some of my stuff.

Gloucestershire Badminton DH #26 - one of a series struck not as currency but to perpetuate the memory of the Duke of Beaufort.

Besides changing the background paper I increased the scan resolution from 72dpi to 240dpi and the scale from 100% to 150%. I then used Paint Shop Pro to scale down the size of the image and set the dpi back to 72dpi.

Note: The first scan was the token on the scanner glass, the second was of the token in a 2x2

  • nice work farthing. image I've been doing the same, but trying to pull some of the irredesent colors out of the coins by tilting them on the scanner.
    Here an old scan:

Here's the new, but used the auto fix for the color adjustment, so the coin is darker than actual.

Beautiful half penny spinaker! (At least I assume it's not a farthing.) I love those early Vicky coppers!

That one has a sharp strike, hard to believe there is that much color from the first pic. image

A few more I imaged while sitting herre waiting for some action...

Hampshire Southampton DH #89. Sir Bevios is recorded as being a very powerful man; a sword of great size is shown at Arundel Castle, said to be his weapon.
