A dollar coin where 'E Pluribus Unum' and/or 'In God We Trust' is written on the edge of the coin, freeing up space for the design as a whole? huh? huh?
I think there's too much writting required on a US coin, personally I think 'In God We Trust' should go but there'll probably be too much resistance to that (and that's not what this thread is about). Just offer up some drastic design ideas, use your imagination.
