MORE FB Roosie Pop -Tops !!

I see the Nov 17th Teletrade auction has some hard to find full band clads coming up.

Best of the bunch:
1995-P 67FB pop. 1/0

This ought to draw some spirited bidding...I bet it goes for more than a grand!

BTW- What's up with Dan Biddle? He just gave up on roosies in disgust after they started the FB crap or what?? You out there Dannyboy?

can't wait to see what that does to the pops

Hi Tim thanks for the coin.
  • I see Teletrade has the images up now and the 1995-p MS67 FB looks AWESOME! Might have to revise my estimate to $1500!image

I wouldn't count Danny out. He is probably the only smart one of the group. Sitting on the sideline until the
dust settles. I'm sure he will be back and as strong as ever as a Roosie player. It wouldn't surprise me at
all if one day all of the sudden Danny's name was right at the top of the heap. In fact I expect it....

    Onlyroosies,
You are probably right! Danny is probably putting together the first all MS67FB + collection and will someday find himself in the top 3. My crystal ball says sometime in Januaryimage

By the way, you will NEVER be de-throned from #1.

it is to early in the game, I think a lot more will be made

Paul, I learned my lesson... Never say Never. Go check out what happened to the top Jefferson collector.
There is always a better coin and always a time when someone else wants the top spot...image

Its just a matter of time, Registrycoin can attest to that fact.

  • Stooge- you must know something the rest of us do not!

IF Biddle is working his magic he must be doing it very quietly (ie.-making them for himself) because I have not seen him buying lately in any of the usual places.

I wish him the best, but Onlyroosies is a tough act to follow!

    Bushmaster8,
I'm only guessing that Danny is planning something big. I know what you know...NOTHING...but Danny owns a business and I'm sure that he is extremely busy with that. I havn't seen him posting or bidding or nothing. I do know that he is always working on his Proof Statehood set which has a # of PF70DCAM's and I believe his Trade Dollar set.

I guess Bushmaster was right. I see the 95P went for over a grand with the juice.
I didn't buy it. Anyone know who did?. Who's willing to fess up. image

You guys should waste a grand on a real coin in 7 or 8 FB - that's not a tough one.
  • MistercoinmanMistercoinman Posts: 1,820 ✭✭✭
Ok, who spent the grand on a 1995 P. The ms-66 only sold for $75.00
  • A couple of weeks have passed since the 1995-P MS67FB sold...yet it is still not listed in anyone's Registry Set!

    The mystery deepens!

I thought only the guys chasing HIGH positions on the Registry were crazy enuff to pay this kind of $$.

    HELLO MY FRIENDS:
BEING PATIENT-WAITING FOR THE DUST TO SETTLE
    That's me.
    Ole DannyBoy, from Paris, KY.
I should still be considered a "Player" in the Roosey Dime World Series. (Silver and Clad).
I am just not quite ready to enter the game, it is only the bottom
of the third inning and my team has the bases loaded with no outs,
however we (I) are way behind in the game.
I promised myself, when PCGS began grading Rooseys as full band,
that I would not buy a single coin for at least one full year.
Over that time, I have been gathering my potential full band coins together,
    for submission to PCGS.
You guys be careful paying big dollars for low pop full band coins.
Some of these low pop dates are going up-up-up.
When you see this happening, you will know that my submission to PCGS
    has been processed.

The Registry Set game is as bad as playing poker.
When you try to make any gain you are taking a risk of being buried.
People hold their coins tight and only use them when necessary to hold their position.
Always a surprise waiting around every corner.
I am no good at the game, I do not hold anything back.

    I don't buy slabs I make them
  • Danny... You are very wise!

    Good to hear from you!

When you get your submission results back, be sure to post them here!

Nice to know your still around Danny. I always knew you'd be back. Collectors like you and me
have silver in our veins, Roosie silver that is, Just cant get enough of those purty little silver
disc's... Sounds like your getting a little itchy and want to jump the gun a little on that year
target. Any chance your getting an early start....image Either way, Can't wait to have you back.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.
I have been busy assembling a complete set of Mint State Wash. Quarters
recently (1932-1964). My set IS COMPLETE, and will be posted in the Registry
before too long. Maybe a top 10 set initially.
I have a long way to go to catch up with Mitch set A&B.
Now that my quarter set is complete (I am upgrading as I speak),
I feel an urge to turn on the 10X scope and look at some more Rooseys.image

  • So, Danny, can we get a few previews?? Like, do you think you have a 67FB 57-P or 58-P in the works???

BTW- remember I sold you 2-3 PCGS boxes of 67 & 68 clads some years back?? Some of those would probably upgrade today. As you no doubt know if you have been submitting raw roosies, the grading of the series at PCGS has loosened up a good bit since that time. Lots of coins that I would have sworn would only go MS66 are now in MS67 holders, especially the colorful ones.

As an aside, I have noticed some solidifying of prices for non-FB MS67 roosies lately. They really took a nosedive when the FB-game began, and you could get then super cheap. But they have perked back up. I attribute this to new players entering the game.image

    HELLO GREG:
Yes I remember those 40 coins from June 2000.
I believe some of these will upgrade to full band, no doubt.
Some very elusive dates were in that batch, which I bought from you
when no one else was collecting Clad Rooseys.
As for the 57 and 58 coins, I am very optimistic.
These two dates are commom in MS67, and a have 40+ of each date
in PCGS MS67. I have some coins of each date that may upgrade to full band.
Hope so anyway. If you see the pop change in the future, think about me.image
