"United Strength Achieves Much" on the reverse. I don't know what "Baufon?s" means, perhaps a city? I'm completely unschooled in Notgeld, but this one looks communist to me. Where is it from? Obviously Germany, but it uses the USSR's hammer and sickle coat of arms. Was it used in the Soviet Union, or Germany?

I think the Communists were pretty active in Weimar Germany, before the Nazis came to power and started "purging" them? Maybe it is notgeld, but I don't know. Neat item.

  • 'Baufonds' means 'building fund' in German. Perhaps a token for a donation to a Party hall being built?

Hmm. I guess if your male horse hasn't been "fixed", he's a "notgeld"? image

(Sorry. I know, that was pretty lame.)

I'm with Brad on this one. I have seen Dutch commie club tokens from this same period, but that one I have no idea where it may be from (other than German-speaking territory).

Well, it's definitely Notgeld, but I'm afraid I can't add anything more to what's been posted here.
