tip for detecting fake 1/10 platinum eagles

darktone

Coin world did not point out the biggest difference between the counterfiet and real coin from the pictures they showed on the front page. The fake coin has the ray going under the R in liberty and the real one has the ray going over the R. This is very easy to see. mike

Joe, yes the picture was in coinworld but in the article they failed to mention the most noticable difference- or at least in my opinion it's the most noticable difference. mike

I noticed that to. Its evident on more than just the "R." I told myself that on the real ones, the statue is in front of 'LIBERTY." On the fakes, she's behind LIBERTY.

Another good way is to make sure all your platimun coins are made of platinum. Wieght is a good indicator of this.

One look and you can make a list a mile long on the differences! This is one of the worst fakes I've ever seen!
