Chopmarked Trade Dollars

Hello,

I just received my Chomarked Trade Dollar back from PCGS grading service and tried to enter it into my Copper, Nickel and Silver Type Coin Set (1792-1964) only to be informed that this coin does not qualify for this set due to the chopmarks. I have thought about this for a while and have yet to come up with a reason why this is. Can you tell me the reason why?

Thank you for your time,
Court - Mrpawn

Chop marked Trade dollars are a specialty coin. We decided to grade themas if they didn't have chop marks because numerous people collect them. However, their technical grade is "damaged" and they really can't be compared to other none damaged coins in a type set. That's why they don't work as Registry coins in type sets, and they don't work as parts of the "normal" Trade dollar set.
