World Trade Center Coin and Authentication

I have seen a large number of WTC coins authenticated by PCGS moving through the secondary market, and I've browsed through your site and the message boards but don't see any specific population reports for this specific type of coins. It seems to me that people are paying a premium for a coin without knowing how "RARE" (to use Ebay seller terminology) they really are. Since a secondary market does exists for such items and the end consumers and collectors seem to be paying a premium for them, I would think that PCGS should publish exactly how many of these “Recovered” coins it has slabbed. Collectors could then more accurately ascertain the value and rarity of these coins. Could you publish or provide some direction as to what types and quantities were authenticated and slabbed by PCGS?

Thank you for your time,
jjroll

PCGS did not give these coins a new individual coin number. It's a pedigree and we don't keep individual pedigree populations.

    Thanks,
