Noted the show is this weekend and was wondering if you would give us 'the inside skinny' on the show? What is PCGS trying to accomplish at these shows and what do you think the invitee's expect? Possibly post a brief post show report on the PCGS site. Thank you, David

The PCGS "Invitational shows" have been going on for a couple of years. Some of our dealers like to submit at shows and get their coins back instantly, even though they pay more for the service. Since large shows happen only once every two or three months there were "holes" in the calendar where dealers wanted a "show" to submitt coins at. We do these by invitation only shows approximately four times a year. Dealers also buy and sell with one another so it's like a coin show, but with a limited amount of dealers and no public participation. The shows (they're not really shows) are short and everything happens very fast. It's very efficient for the deallers who participate.
