New Crossover Results

This is my first attempt at crossing cards from another company to PSA . I used my eyes in addition to the grade assigned. I only sent cards that I thought looked like the PSA equivalent even if the grades were parallel. And I used a minimum grade requirement on all except the odd ball graded one. The results:

1978 Topps Julius Erving SGC 96 became PSA 9

1992 Fleer Shaquille O'Neal SGC 98 became PSA 10 (tough card, his scarcest PSA 10 Rookie, about half as many as the Upper Deck #1...)

1971 Barratt Muhammad Ali ASA 8 became PSA 8

1971 Topps #652 Braves Team SGC 98 stayed SGC 98 (card is PERFECT!)

1975 Topps Rushing Leaders (OJ Simpson) SGC 98 stayed SGC 98

1984 Topps Walter Payton IA SGC 98 became PSA 10 (1/1 according to current pop. report --don't know how fast they update though...)

I am pretty happy with the results. But that 1971 Topps Braves Team card is so nice I wish it would have crossed over!!

gregmo32 - Very nice. Many people on these boards have commented how difficult it is to get Gem Mint cards to crossover to any service. You should be pretty happy.

How was the centering on your Ali card?

Nicely done. Gem Mint is tough to cross over. What was the reason on not slabbing the Braves Team Card?

Thanks for the congratulations. To answer your questions :

The centering of the 1971 Barratt Ali is typical for the issue, about 75/25 left to right. I own several, including PSA 9's, and they are all off centered (though there is all of a sudden a PSA 10 listed in the pop report, anyone know anything about the owner or its whereabouts?).

I don't know why the 1971 Topps Braves Team did not cross over. It is the best 1971 Topps card I have ever seen. I had a minimum cross over of PSA 10, so otherwise I would keep it in SGC 98 GEM MINT.

As I mentioned, I did not send in all of my SGC stuff, just the ones I felt were PSA equivalent in the grade. I had others that I did not think would cross over that I kept back...
