1962 TOPPS Y.A. TITTLE PSA 9 COOL!

I just received a PSA 9 with no qualifiers on a 1962 Y.A. Tittle card I submitted last week.
I haven't posted it to the registry yet, but did notice that there have been no other 9's ever given for the Tittle card.
My question is, would a card like this.....where it is the only 9 on the registry be worth more than usual because it is the only one??
Or is it not that big of a deal??
Just wondering, as I'm a PSA Rookie and am still trying to learn the game.
Thanks.

Kirk - Yes, ANY 9 from that set is a big deal,
and ANY 9 that's a 1 of 1 is an even bigger deal. HOF helps too.

Congratulations ! Would you happen to have a 1962 raw Unitas in the same condition laying around ?

That card is a MONSTER! Congratulations. My guess is close to a grand for it on Ebay with no reserve...

    Kirk,

My advice would be not to sell on ebay. I (for one) would make you an attractive offer but I would not participate on ebay.

Great card. That would easily sell for $500 to many people on this board. I would suggest calling Murcerfan as he is the king of 1962 topps football, next I would call Davilillo as he is a big buyer too.

    Dale,
I have a sincere interest in selling my 1950's football sets: Bowman 52 Smalls, 53 Bowman, 54 Bowman, 55 Topps AA, 57 Topps.
I grew up following football in the mid to late 60's and have a real love for the 1960's football issues.
My favorite has always been the 1962 Topps Football issue.
So, even though it may have appeared as if I was FISHING from my post, I really didn't know the answer to the question I posed.
Basically, I do have an interest in putting together a real nice PSA graded 1962 Football set.
That is a goal of mine.
I figured I would sell off some of my earlier 1950's football sets to possibly help me in this quest.
So to answer your question, I have been contacted by a few of the board members here and do appreciate their interest.
Not to say that I won't part with it.
However numbers have not been discussed and no deal has been made.
    So that be the skinney.

  • Hi Mojorob,

I can help you raise some funds if you have any 1953 Bowman Football in PSA 9 or #s 33,34,49,57 in PSA 8! If so, let me know.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

  • Put it on ebay. The bottom feeders are offering you a grand. You should be able to get 2 grand on ebay.

    PCB,
I appreciate your response to my post, however by calling anyone that made an overture towards this card bottom feeders, is not only insulting and in poor taste, but just plain untrue.
I really don't want any flame wars comencing re. this post.
So let's just leave it at that.
This was a happy experience for me that I had a question regarding.
I do appreciate all the feedback I received on and off the boards.
You guy's by and large, answered my question and for that I am grateful.
    Thank you guys.

If I were you, I would consider any swaps that included a Unitas psa 8.
That card has become really tough despite a decent pop (i'd wager there are a big handful of re-submits in that number).
