Starting my new adventure - 1956 Topps

Hi Guys, Now that my 1972 Topps cards are starting to sell - I'm ready for the new hunt. I've decided to collect a PSA graded 6 NQ and 7 NQ 1956 Topps set. If anyone have a stack of cards collecting dust that they want to sell, email me at nbdowney@msn.com anytime. I am going to try to stick to a strict budget (as I did when buying the 1972 Topps cards). I would love to enter the 1956 Topps race with a big bang. I look forward to any emails and/or suggestions on the great looking vintage set. Neil

Good luck on this new adventure. I hope to go down the 56 path within a few years. Right now, I'm concentrating my efforts on the 55 set in similar condition, as well as some hockey sets. I've always liked the mid 50's topps sets 53-57 - just classic...

    Good luck Neil,

You may want to look for "high grade" 56's at card shows. I think that PSA 6's are quite attainable still to find raw.

  • Neil,

I can tell you that easily the 56's I saw in Setbuilders books at the Boston Show over the weekend would 6. I would suggest visiting the Fort Washington Show in December to look for good raw cards also. Some of these cards will also 7 & occassionally 8 if you are discriminating.

Best of Luck in your new endeavor.

  • Good luck Neil.
  • If you are doing it in 6, you can probably do it without driving yourself insane. If you are doing it in 7, expect to spend a lot of money on the last few commons.

I rarely find any NM vintage at shows, but EXMT seems more possible.

  • Hi Guys, I have finally received some emails from people with psa graded 1956 Topps cards for sale. So far there have been no sellers that have gone away without us working out a deal for their cards. If anyone else has any psa 6 or psa 7 (no qualifiers) 1956 Topps cards for sale, send me a line at nbdowney@msn.com - Thanks, Neil
