Took a chance . . . eBay win

I'm hoping this one is nicer in person. Seller only ships to the US so I was able to pick it up cheaply (I sold a set last week to a British buyer for $305.) Case seems to be in great shape.

Seller made two big errors. He doesn't ship overseas and listed the set in Coins --> World ---> Gold. These have been selling for $300 - 400 on eBay recently.

Cha-ching! Now you can get those toes operated on after you sell this one at a profit.image

Nice pickup, I had it marked for watching too, seems like the circling vultures were aplenty.

  • That's a bargain !!

The number of items I've seen ship to us only is remarkable. I saw a very rare spelling error William & Mary farthing go for $61 once - the guy simply refused to ship to me even though I'd accept the risk. I didn't know anyone in the states at that time who would bid for me. A friend of mine mentioned it after the auction and said he'd been in contact with the seller. Also, a la this proof set, it was listed in US Colonial image

Let him lose his soul - it's no good me selling French coins and refusing to ship to France.
