Onlyroosies strikes AGAIN - how does he do it?

Nick (onlyroosies) just added a incredibly tough 1954-S PCGS MS67FB....pop 2 to his set......just 5 more to go and he has a full MS67FB (and better) set. Way to go Nick! How do you do it? First a pop-1 1955S in MS67FB and now a 54-S MS67FB.........image

Manofcoins and rainbowroosie, you guys give me to much credit, this was a 100% onlyroosies find. No one, and I mean no one I know, digs deeper and tries harder than Nick - and his set score shows the results of that hard work. I once said to Nick that how you achieve and maintain a #1 set is to constantly "work the set" - and Nick is certainly working the set!!!

Nick is "working" the Roosies as hard as anyone out there and scoring this 54(s) is simply another example of that.

I had dinner with Larry Shepperd in Dallas last week. The issue of colorful Roosies came up and he was still interested in displaying "Rainbowroosies" unregistered silver collection on his table when Nick and my collector display their 1946-date collections on the PCGS table. I hope that happens sometime in 2004 - we just need to give Nick a little more time to get his clad (second) set into shape image

Boy, I see I don't get very much credit here do I. I found my 55S sitting in an NGC 67* holder over a year ago and it crossed on the first
shot and became the only 55S to to grade 67FB at PCGS. I found the 54S sitting in a PCGS 67FB holder labeled 1954D. Many others had
a shot at the coin but I guess they didn't look at it close enough.

Mitch, I'm looking forward to the Roosie Showdown hopefully at this next long beach show, And my clad set is coming along just fine,
Thanks to several collectors that are helping with its construction.

Rainbow, Your right, There just isn't any substitute for a pretty toned Roosie. Thats why I have my Ultimate Roosie set that I'll have
at long beach. I'll put it up against yours anyday....

That will be one very impressive display, please keep the boards posted I think I will fly out to Long Beach for that one. I love Rooseys!!!imageimageimage
  • Nick's set has impressed me from the time he first "put on the afterburners" and started passing people. I even remember him mentioning names he was passing in his posts. His set (at that time) far exceeded that of the second all time finest (at that time) held by Dan Biddle. Nick has been great for Roosies! He's given the rest of us something to shoot for.
