Scratches on the cheek and neck are distracting, Reverse scratches, although more, on the peripheral are not as distracting. MOO

I think PCGS got it right. Yesterday's AU-58's have been market graded to MS-62, and I'm surprised PCGS graded it as it should be.

The 2004 Charleton Guide to Canadian Coins has an AU-50 for $1,150 Canadian, whichi is about $871.94 US, so I'd say your AU-58 is a very reasonable
price.

My 1948 was graded a MS62 by PCGS, and I think ICCS would've given it a MS63.

I know that it's a rare date, but unless the holder is banged up, the coin has too many marks for my taste.

You may be right about its value and upgrade potential, but I've got to tell you that as a buyer, when I see upgrade potential used as a selling point, I simply move on. If it's upgradable, why hasn't it been upgraded?
