As a collector of 1960 Fleer, I wasn't excited by the "find" of another wrong back Pennock. I was annoyed by the full page article Beckett Vintage Magazine gave Wentz to tout his amazing SGC 5.5. Not surprised no one was stupid enough to bid $10,000 on this "incredible investment opportunity".

This reminds me of the early nineties when Alan Hager auctioned ASA graded proofs and wrongback cards. Con men like these can make make money by fooling some people in the short term, but after a while people wisen up and simply laugh at these kinds of dealers.
He's also right about wrongbacks. I collect T205's. You think I'm gonna pay silly money for the same card that doesn't have a line of stats on the back? No way, let those obssesive compulsive freaks finish their set that way. Money is better spent elsewhere.
Also Jello, you shouldn't be ripping respectable board members with your two-bit pop-psychology rant. Sounds like you're the one angry at the world.
(Some new guy with a Jello box icon ripped on Koby with wrong accusations and a bad disposition, now he's gone)
Back to the thread, I didn't realize Beckett vintage existed anymore. Anyone know if they list oddball caramel sets? (E95's E96's, E90-1's, etc..) I ain't buying that SCD bible, and would like a fairly current guide for these and others.
Beckett Vintage still is around. I just let my subscription run out after about a year.
And no, they are a vintage magazine but mostly just give prices of the majot T-sets. No E sets.
I just don't think error cards and print variations should command mega-premiums. That not even controversial.
