my dads friends are having me go throw their coins and such and said if anything there i like i can have. now my delema the husband use to collect coins. i know they said anything i like i can have but if there is anything good in there is it cool to take . i dont know. anyway. what items shall i be hunting for in their collection.any hidden coisn to be looking out for than the really known coins?

i doubt ill see any 1916d dimes 1909s VDB pennies. or 1913 nickels that are liberty head. but ok toned ikes what else what wouyld be a good find that the market hasnt yet reconize that they might

If you don't already have one, it would be a good idea to purchase a guide like the Redbook (I can't remember its official name, somebody help me here!). This will give you a lot of general information about coins, and in the sections about individual coins, you can see the rare dates and varieties to look out for.
