I had someone call me on the phone today and ask if I wanted to buy a Morgan dollar that was in a bezel and gold plated. I told them it was worth maybe $15. The woman then said "Can't you strip the gold plating off and it be worth more"? I just chuckled and said I was not interested.
Well, regrettably this won't do as a gold dime. However, there is a unique and genuine gold IHC, so if that one is ever offered on Ebay, you may want to look more carefully and wait until the auction's over before announcing it to forum members.

After reading this grammatically-challenged description, a "gold dime in gem condition" is a fitting title for this auction.
