Scanning Pictures to Set Registry

From my question you will see that I'm not a computer geek.

Anyways, once I scan a picture to the Set Registry, do I need to retain it on my hard drive? Don't think so, but wanted to check, since I just deleted about 900 scans which was freezing up my software.

  • You're safe, but PSA won't be able to cross check your cert # since PSA software reads your hard drive and looks for the bar code on the flips.image

From my experience you do not need to keep it on your hard drive. PSA will keep the pictures for you...just make sure you do not delete them while on the set registry website.

  • Any thoughts on what is the best scan resolution and format (.jpg, .bmp)??

  • For my One Touch 8100 Scanner I use the True Color Mode with a 150 dpi. The images are about 1.04 MB, and I compress it to about 80. That seems to load nice and looks good.
