Buffalo Dollar proof coin

I have the 2001 buffalo proof coin with box and certificate of au. etc. I cant decide wether or not to sell it. The value is slowly going down. Should I keep it? Will it ever be worth this much again? I collect, but I dont know much about coins. My grandfatehr bought me the 99 silver proofs, and since then ive been adding more proofs to my collection and watching the values raise. This coin is only going down though. Thanks for any input.

Will gold be worth more or less in two years than it is today?

Do you like the coin? If so, keep it and enjoy it and forget about "the value"

If you don't like the coin, then sell it and buy something you like.

If you're tracking "values" that closely, and worried that you're coins are "going down",
then coins may not be the best "investment" for you.

Good luck with your best guess.

  • The Buffalo proof commemorative was an instant hit.
It nearly doubled in value the first year. Though it's fallen slightly,
there's no reason to believe it won't keep it's value and even
    start back up again.
Wish I'd bought more than one !!!
