Kinda hard to tell from that pic, but it does look like a Vam 1-A.

It does resemble the Vam1A, but I would want to clearly see the path of the die crack to be sure.

It is hard to tell from the scan, but it does look to be 1a which is known as the donkey tail. Click on the reverse picture and look at the D in DOLLAR...It has what has been called a donkey Tail that extends out from the D and it is a popular VAM...it is fairly rare if I recall correctly and sought after by the VAM specialists. The coin looks original... may not quite make ef but I would buy it and be happy with the coin because it does look original.

I called PCGS customer service, a very pleasant young lady took a long time with me to get the right answer. They WILL NOT recognize this one on a holder. Drat.
