The noose is back on Lincoln's neck

Nonsense grades back today. Gimme MS67RD's (Easy date 55-S) all came back MS66RD. I have made quite a few 67's including some tough 50's P mints and all of these are MS67RD's. Honestly I was thought 2 coins had a real shot at MS68 and the reason I paid for the 7 day service was this chance. MS66RD on these 55-S's is an insult and shows me that there is no consistancy with PCGS grading, infact I think they have blinders on.

...at least they're not maxed out, right?
I hate it when you see my post before I can edit the spelling.
Always looking for nice type coins

I'm going to open a NGC account. Most of my stuff will be going to them now. I'm sure I'll send a few to PCGS too... here and there.

I wish it would have been so cheap.

not yet. I asked for all of the coins to go for Presidential review. I want to see WHY they were graded as MS66RD's. Pres review takes some time, upto a month from what I hear. I will revive the thread when I get some pics to post.
>>Wanna sell the second best one?
>>Can I buy the 3rd best one??
I would rather crack them and stick them back in the rolls then sell them for 66 money -- about $2 right - sorry.
Are you collecting 1955 s Lincoln cents in ms 67? It doesn't really matter as the value in ms 66 is $15 and the value in ms 67 is$75.NGC made the mistake of grading an enormous amount of ms 67's and now their ms 67's are worth ???? $20 each
During a recent conversation with Andy Skrabalak of Angel Dees,he cracked out several PCGS ms 66's and they came back 64 and 65 from NGC.
My advice is to leave them alone in PCGS ms 66 holders and move on.

Sounds like a plan to boast the stock price. Grade low to cause resubmissions, ie improve bottom line....
sigh.... ok, let me ask a stupid question. What if the coins NGC graded ARE 67s?
How is giving coins the grade they merit a mistake? because it increases the pops?
conversely, is PCGS NOT giving coins the grades they merit NOT a mistake? seems like one.
Finally, what if these are in reality, common coins? What if there are ROLLS of these still out there?
didn't these 6 examples come from roll(s)? was it the last roll of 55s cents on earth?
what about the other 44 coins in the roll? any nice ones in there?

I forgot to mention in my previous post an idea I had for a little study. I thought it would be fun to cover the grades on some of my recent submissions as well as some of the coins I own and have people record their grades after looking at the coins. I think about 20 coins would be a good number. In order for there to be any validity it would need to be done with a high number of participants. Maybe I could rent a table at a big coin show, what do you think?
Certainly it could be. When did they hire new graders? Was this recently? I have noticed there seems to be 2 groups of graders. I have sent 2 submissions in at the same time and had different results with each one.

I like it. I would contribute a few coins for the grading challenge.
