When did eBay start offering 1 day auctions?

I was looking at an ANACS 1897 Morgan and noticed the title said NR 1 Day......so, I got curious and looked at the listing.

It was a one day listing. When did they start this and why on earth would anyone choose this?

No seriously, I started seeing them a few days ago. I would think it's an edge to the buyer because a one-day sale passes so fast.

I believe it's been that way for years.

It has been around for quite some time. Recently, though, there does seem to be an increase in the number of sellers using it.

Is there a way to search just for 1 day auctions?

The reason you're seeing it more is because it's now the default length of listing rather than the previous default of 7 days. The started this about a week ago.

That seems kind of dirty, some will miss changing the default
