WTC Ground Zero Recovery PCGS graded coins

I have seen a large number of these coins moving through Ebay and was wondering if anyone knows exactly what types and how many of each were slabbed by PCGS? I've browsed through the site and the message boards but don't see any specific population reports for these specific types of coins. It seems to me that people are paying a premium for a coin without knowing how "RARE" (to use Ebay seller terminology) they really are. I was just curious if anyone knows just how many PCGS slabbed....

PCGS marketed a number of different death coin combinations. Some were individual coins, some were sets. For example a 1 of 500 could be from one the sets of 500 while a 1 of 2500 of the same coin would be from a different set.

It's all kind of confusing, like when 19 Saudi's fly into the WTC, we attack Afghanistan. It's all the same thing, just different.

I would have thought that they would have kept some kind of record of how many they stamped their name on and sent out into the marketplace. Or maybe they don't want John Doe to know that the coins are a lot more common than advertised.

I don't get it with these WTC coins. Why all the hype? Were they found in the rubble at "Ground zero?" I recall they found a safe afterward that possessed much silver & gold; wherein, they had to get Brinks armored services to come to the site for removal....

They're a touchy business because we're so close in time to the actual tragedy.

Now artifacts from the Titanic? Different matter altogether.
