Don't you know that it's worth every treasure on Earth to be young at heart? And as rich as you are, it's much better by far, to be young at heart!
wow... thanks for the reception...some interesting "players" in here I see. We can explore the box together if you like. And no, you didn't scare me off. I do work. Looking forward to learning from you guys.
Welcome aboard woody57. Do you have a "Redbook"? That might help you identify any pieces that your not familiar with. In addition, there is are price guide all over the internet. A lot of folks seem to like "Heritage coins" auction records, prices realized, to determine fair market value (fmv). Finally, some coins can demand better money than fmv if the eye appeal is above average. Some of us could probably help you with eye appeal opinions if you have the ability to post pictures. Good luck, and have fun!
Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground.
I am going to take everything to a coin dealer and find out just what I have. Then, I'll see what you guys think they are worth. I know I won't get a totally objective assessment from a dealer. I'm not as enamored with coins as most of you seem to be, but ya got to admit, going in and out, in and out of the box can be a.... well... very entertaining way to spend an evening
All boxes of coins are guaranteed to contain at least one VF 1962 Jefferson. And regarding your last post Woody, sounds like you're a very naughty boy, and will fit in well around here.

All right I'll go first. I guess there's a 1921 Morgan in Woody's box. Was I right?
<< <i>Let's play a game. We'll call it "What's in Woody's Box?" We can take turns guessing what's in the box, and he can tell us if we're right.

...even the common ones can sometimes be a treasure.
Take a quick peek, and see if they're any 20 dollar gold coins with 1933 on them.
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
