They claim that the description was by a certified appraiser. I wonder what kind of estimate the certified appraiser made as to the value and why they failed to provide that estimate? I wonder, if a PA resident emailed them and said that "since their tax dollars paid for that estimate and hey wanted to know what that paid opinion was" if they would reveal it?
This astounds me!!! 5 rolls of common as dirt wheat pennies for over 40$ apiece!?! If this auction was being held by an individual seller many members of this board would be up in arms calling him or her all sorts of sleazeball names and admonishing him for taking advantage of Newbies. The State of Pa. profits handsomely from the greediness of those thinking they are getting something for little to nothing!
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
So, Pontiac, did you run it up on purpose? You said you were going to pull your bid...I assume that was if you were high bidder with a few seconds left?
So, the dumb newbie got hit with outbidding you (dumb for paying what he did at that price) at a bid price that you had no intention of keeping?
I'm confused since you are too smart to actually pay that amount for what the auction is, yet you bid it...and left it so someone outbid you.....

I wonder why they failed to show a picture of that coin.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
> one (1) 1925 Mercury dime. The reverse side of this dime is the reverse side of a Lincoln Wheat penny.
Did they try to say this is a MULL dime/penny, i.e., a 11c piece
not my problem
