Cracking The Top 5

Well, with the retirement of the Downy collection I have moved into the Top 5 in the 1972 registry and am closing in on #4 rapidly...this has been a ton of fun to do, and it's actually getting more exciting as I get closer to the finish as it gets incrementally tougher and tougher to find the cards I need.
I think FB and the others will agree with me...looking at a complete set of pristine 72s is a site to behold...I would go so far as to say that while not the tougest set of the 1970s (that would go the the 71s) the 1972 set is the most visually appealing and a true beast w/ 787 cards.

Absolutely... these cards can dazzle you when they're well centered and the colors are vibrant. The last set distributed by series throughout the year.
I just noticed that we're just short of having three folks with 600+ PSA 9's in they're sets between myself, EO and Brian Long (who's set is not currently registered). Sure, that keeps to Eric's point that its not an incredibly difficult set - but the sheer size makes it a lot of fun.
Sets - 1970, 1971 and 1972
