Advice on selling 1970s raw sets

I need to start selling my raw 1970s sets (1973, 1974, 1976, 1977) to fund my splurges into the 1960s sets. I have not sold before on eBay and studying how sets are sold, I see quite a bit of variety. These sets are mostly ExMt to Mint. I know I won't get much for them but am wondering do I sell the stars in groups and the rest in 100-card lots, or something entirely different? Thanks for any advice.

How's your '77 set lookin'? I need to upgrade about 90 cards. It's worth a splash if the cards are crisp and uncirculated. Let me know and good luck with the stuff.

If you cannot slab the stars (or it wouldn't be cost effective), just scan the stars as best you can. I use vendio because I can get extra-large scans.
Another thing I like to do is if I am selling a large lot of cards, I will make one large scan of the first 9 cards and the last 9 cards of the lot so I can show that I am showing a fair representation of the lot. I hate it when I see people grade the stars or only show the stars, but they are not representative of the entire set or lot. It happens all the time. If you are going to scan all the stars, be sure to include the OC ones and the ones that are off-grade, so people will know what they are getting into. And of course if that cannot be done, it is always appreciated when you list all the stars with their appropriate grades.
Good luck!

p.s. I know that was already discussed in an earlier post, but it would be worth your while to hold 10-day auctions and make sure they overlap two weekends. I used to have all mine end on Sunday evenings.

downgoesfrazier: I think I have what you are looking for. The 1977 set was bought in 1977 from a dealer and is still in the original box (it was a handmade set made from however dealers got cards - vending? - in those days). Email me at ouray2 AT att.net
Thanks.
