I like these coins as MS64s, the strike on the 'bama is a little uneven and a few marks that could make it 63 on a really bad day, the California seems to have a few hairlines in the fields that could limit the grade.
but mostly I say 64 because that is the "value grade" I'd be shopping for these issues in

you know what? there are lots and lots of coins that are not certified by PCGS, that still look nice.

Both are great coins, 65 minimum but I think of the two the Alabama would make 66.

If they weren't going into the Dansco, I'd send them to PCGS for grading!
