Hm... Well there's stuff that looks and acts like coins...
This was a
"medal"
that commemorated the opening of the Waterloo Bridge in 1816.
There were
jetons
that commemorated the battle and may have circulated briefly.
And there were tons of British tokens with Wellington on them (of which I have none
)...
And of course lots of real medals by
winners
and even by the
losers
!
I like this stuff too...
