Some coins look awesome when fully toned, some look better with only some toning- some of it also has to do with the luster on the coin, and its relief.
To sum up my answer, I'll tell you if I like it when I see it...

Not if I can help it. My quality coins don't have the corrosion! And yes, I do own a few coins that have some corrosion. None Here!

I like pastel toning on coins with flash and luster. Dark toning that obscures the luster doesn't excite me. I do understand why some have other preferences.

I like any toning just as long as it accentuates a coin's eye appeal. Some toning is distacting. A dipped and retoned coin is a sad story all together.
Much like people, judging a coin based on colour is just plain wrong. Brown coins and white coins should be able to live in perfect harmony and there should be no discrimination of those 'rainbow' coins either, what your preference is is nobody's business.

Thank you, Darkhorse, for sharing your feelings. I just thought if more people knew my desires, someone might be willing to satisfy my lust.

Tough question for some many toning types to like. But just to name one though, I like alittle bit of bag crescent toning on bright white morgans. You get the tonehaters original blast white look as right off the mint at the same time giving the tonelover a dash of color. Since the big bucks go to the full vibrant bag toners there is nothing in it for the ATing ba*&ards..yet. so you know..oops 99.9% sure its NT.
That's a beautiful coin, islemangu. I have an AU 1825 half that's toned similarly. It's one of my favorite coins. I guess I shouldn't say that I always prefer blast whites.
I'm with cosmos66, I want to see some luster through the toning. It the toning has progressed to the point where the coin has little or none of its original mint luster I'm not very interested (unless it's somewhat of a rarity).

Toning is evil IMO.
Nothing like a frosty lusterous solid white Morgan!
Here's an example of toning that I really like.
Not a big fan of dark, blotchy, or uneven toning.
