Is it just me....

...or does this seem awefully expencive?

Let me just say right up front that I'm not trying to bash NGC. Probably 30% of my collection resides in NGC holders. I'm just makeing the observation that that seems like a lot o cash-o-la when you concider that they'll only put coins into the multi-coin holder if they're already in the single coin holder. You're looking at a base price times 5. That seems like a lot for a reslab, especially when there's no grading going on.

there's quite a discussion going on about that over there.
    the price is extremely high.
  • Those prices for 5 coin holders are expensive. I would do exactly what NGC is currently doing. Since this is a new and popular service I would want to work with a few big customers to make sure I've ironed out the wrinkles.

Once NGC is past any technical hurdles they can work on broadening the market. If strong demand continues at these prices NGC might decide to invest in more set slabbing machines. After production increases and demand slackens prices will surely come down.
