www.heritagecoin.com sign up and use the permanent auction archives.
  • I find the PCGS price list to be right on target most of the time.
With an auction you can never tell. Could get it real cheap (below resale) or real high (above resale).
  • heritage is great also.

The Certified Coin Dealer Newsletter (also referred to as the Blue sheet) lists prices for many PCGS and NGC coins and coin types.

Many of the listed prices are based upon sight-unseen bids, which are often considerably lower than the coins typically trade at, even on a wholesale basis. But, it is a good starting point.
  • thanks....I might try that
  • You have got to be kidding. The PCGS price list is never updated. Their prices are WAY off. Maybe they are OK with the coins you collect but I find their prices to be either unusually high or unusually low. I used to be a Yankee fan growing up but lost interest in them as time went by. I live in south Florida and was at all 3 world series games here this last week. Got to love them Marlins.
  • I have rolls of BU washington quarters I open up and sel one at a time.
    Currently I have
    1960D
    1961P
    1963P
    1963D
    1964P
    1964D

Any of these can be had for 3.00 each, less in quantities.

  • Thanks Mark but they do not list the coins I collect.

There is no such thing as an all-encompassing accurate price guide.
While some heavily traded series may lend thenselves to some pretty accurate pricing for your typical coin, the reality of the matter is that everyone is different and therefore lots of interpolation must be done. Figuring out what your stuff is worth when you sell it is a very difficult game; a game that the dealers have down fairly well but the less-traveled collector is not accustomed to = opportunity for the buying dealer.
