Mint came through.... sort of

When the Mint first offered the First Flight Commemorative, I ordered a silver proof.
And waited, and waited. This past weekend a friend asked if I would order one for him.
Sunday night I ordered one for him and one more for myself.
Wednesday they both came !
Now I'm wondering if my original order is still in the pipeline or lost.
at least I finally got one !!!

Not slamming your purchase, but ... in a nation of wonderful artists and divinely creative folks, that's the best we can do? Has no one learned anything since Fraser, O'Neil, Weineman, Pratt, St. Gaudens, etc.?

I agree.
If you look at the majority of Statehood Quarters you'll see the artistic levels of coins
have sunk to almost cartoon quality.
If this continues the next level will be graffiti from all 50 states !

Makes the older coin all the more precious, don't you think ?
