The thread about crazy eBay bidders made me think of this auction I saw last night. If I had known, I would have put mine up for sale. Probably would not get that much now. image

Oh Geesh...If I could get that for all the ones I have, I'd be a rich dude. I think I have close to two dozen of those, both circ and uncirc. I'm thinking someone HAD to have missed the fact that this is a DENVER mint cent.

Edited to add: I never said I won't SELL on eBay, I just don't BUY from there, except from a couple of rather close friends.

  • It was the title that did it. It stated that the coin was a 55 DDO not a 55-D DDO.
  • I like it when he says, "Pictures speak louder than my works!" Huh? Not only is his writing lousy but his picture sucks too!

    Clackamas-

I think you are correct about the title being the pusher. Should the buyer decide to return the coin because of "false advertising", they would be out of luck because the pictures and the descriptions (though it does make mention of the 55-P) speak of a Denver minted coin and how much RARER this coin is than the 55-P coin.

Then who knows, there were several bidders willing to pay the large price, so maybe these are becoming more in demand. image
