Any Collector's Universe stockholders here?

I just picked up some shares of Collectors' Universe last week, after the submittal turnaround times for PCGS kept going up & up....plus w/the coin market seeming to be on the brink of a strong move, it just seemed like circumstances pointed toward an opportunity. It has moved up a bit, but just wondered if anyone else out there owns shares in the company that runs this website. I tend to go with Peter Lynch's philosophy...buy what you know and understand. Besides, I haven't logged in for quite awhile, and thought this would be a good excuse (as if I need one!) to visit with all you fine folks again.

Sales volume is up....... THATS GOOD
Average cost per certification is down ....... THATS BAD
Sentiment expressed by analysts is WISHY-WASHY....... THATS BAD
Financial statement seems to indicate "red ink" has been/will be a MAJOR expense for CLCT...... THATS BAD
It appears that the 1 for 4 REVERSE stock split was done in order to keep the stock from being "de-listed"...... THATS BAD
While they are acknowledged as an industry leader in the services they perform, it appears there has been much difficulty in turning the corner to making a profit....... THATS BAD
TOTAL SCORE......... THATS GOOD = 1
THATS BAD =5
My "personal" take on the situation is that in a "BULL" market (such as the one we are in now), CLCT oughta be making money hand over fist..........
Whats gonna happen when the "Modern" boom subsides..........
Look for the new company slogan to be........
"We lose money on every sale....... BUT we make it up in volume !!!"

Its problem is that it has very low volume and is a slow mover.
Buy it at $3.50 and sell it at $3.75.
Ameritrade RULES!
I currently own 1000 shares and will probably sell it tomorrow @ $3.75.
My 1 year price target is $4.50.
Edited to Add: My individual stock broker is Scottrade, which has won the JD Powers and Associates award for the last four years straight! My market order commission is ONLY $7! IF you are going to trade individual stocks, which I DON"T RECOMMEND, try Scottrade! You can also purchase mutual funds through Scottrade, which I DO RECOMMEND!
Check out a Vanguard Roth IRA.
Also, do insiders control most of the stock? I don't know that, but, if they do, then they can REALLY affect the stock by any movement. For instance, if the normal day's trading volume is ~2000 shares, and someone who owns 70% of the stock needs money to buy a house, they may sell tens of thousands of shares. That could really depress the stock and then, it still trades 2000 shares later...harder to rise.
Then, unless the insiders are really buying the stock (they have a great feel for how the company, and policies, are going), it probably isn't going to move up much.
Longtimecollector....I agree with most of what you said, but wonder about this: "Average cost per certification is down ....... THATS BAD"
Do you mean that the average revenue per cert is down? The way you wrote it, it seems to say that the cert price stayed the same, and the cost decreased...that would be good.
Other than that, I agree with everything else you said about the pro and the cons.
Golddustin....I hope the stock treats you well though I feel you will have to hold for a very long time....but, best of luck to you.

This is one of the great cons of "discount" brokers and it's perfectly legal. On a trade of say $20,000 of stock the trade may cost you $1,007 or more depending on several factors. Dont take my word for it, familiarize yourslf with the 5% Markup rule. It will change the way you trade and you may make some money.
As for CLCT, I would avoid. So many excellent companies to invest in why waste time with this clunker?
It can cost you a lot more than 5% + $7 if you are trying to trade quantities greater than those associated with the bid and ask. For CLCT, bids and asks are rarely good for more than 5000 shares, often for less than 1000 shares. Their SOP for reacting to large orders is really kinda wild if you pay attention.
