Almost, but still a fun Washington for $1.25.

I found this coin yesterday in a dealer carousel, and the flip was marked $2. I bought a few coins, so he gave it to me at roll price. The obverse is stunning. The reverse die was absolutely terrible. The lettering is chattery and broken, and the right wing blends into the field, etc, etc. The coin is fairly mark free. It is a real teaser. Anyway, I thought it worth a pic before it went into the album.

First POTD 9/19/05!!
It is hard to find really nice silver quarters from the 1960s, it seems.
That's a great photo, by the way!
Andy, the rim above States, and the O in Of both look a little ragged. There's a die pit in the A of Dollar, and several die pits on the lower left wing. There are a few more minor flaws under a loupe, but it just looks kind of ragged compared to the obverse. BTW - I agree with your obverse grade.
