Anyone watch ESPN Playmakers?

Has anyone been following ESPN entry into the weekly soap series? I put this show right up there with the Sopranos. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. LMK what you think about it.

    Last night they aired all of the episodes to this current episode and it was great to see them again. If anyone has these on tape I would trade some nice cards for copies.

    i ain't missed one yet ...it pissed me off that last night was reruns...oh well...got something to look forward to next Wednesday image

    Yeah, DH is Cuba Gooding Jr.s little brother. They talked about it on espn a couple months back.

    Yeah they interviewed Cuba Gooding Jr today on Rome and on Dan Patrick show's asking him about his brother's role. Gooding told Rome that it was weird seeing his nice, polite brother playing a character like D.H. b/c it was so unlike him in real life, and Rome said "you mean Omar doesn't smoke crack at halftime of football games??". It was great. They also said that Snoop Dogg is going to come on the show as D.H.'s brother for a few episodes, that should be cool

    Snoop would really lower the quality of the show if they put his mug on it. He should stick to MTV. No offense to any Snoop fans but I wish they would stick to rap and leave the acting to the actors.

    Omar Gooding is definitely playing against type as DH; he cut his teeth in a couple of shows on Nickelodeon of all places image (yeah I was a "tween" myself... about 11 years ago when it wasn't called that! image ). He does a good job though, so his acting past just serves as a bit of comic irony image

    BTW Playmakers is awesome, nearly as good as Nip/Tuck.

    Playmakers is one of 2 new shows that I love. The other is The Joe Schmo Show.
    Collecting Kirilenko Auto's, 1/1's, all base, and one of every rookie card.
