Opinions on coin please

Here we have a 1796 JR-1 dime. For those not familiar with the series (most, I presume) the cud on star 1 is "normal" for this variety.
This coin has hairlines on the obverse across the bust, a scratch through the hair, and on the reverse, a scratch under the wing. I know PCGS gives extra leeway to early coins. Does anyone think PCGS would body bag this coin, or because of the date, they would slab it?
Thanks for your opinions.

If they won't slab it, send it to me. I'll buy it anyway.

That is a very cool coin.

Yes, I think they will, but then they never listen to me so who knows.

I've seen much worse in a PCGS holder...

If that picture is accurate, the coin looks pretty honest to me. I'd bet they'll slab it.

Only one way to find out for sure. I guess the blob on the star at 7 o'clock is a cud. Coin seems to have alot of small scratches and the big one on the reverse.
The surfaces seem pretty corrosion free.
Cant tell if its bent or see any repair work that jumps out in the picture.

Looks like normal wear and tear, the damage commensurate with a very good to fine coin. The obverse is no problem. The reverse scratch is obviously close to the same age as the coin, but is of a size that makes it borderline as to whether they will bag it or not... a little bigger, the coin wouldn't grade, a little smaller would be no problem. in my opinion this is a coin that will find it's way into a nice slab, if not PCGS then one of the other good companies. Of course, if it were my coin, it would go into an album image
