About one month ago, I was feeling lucky so I went to the bank and got $60 in halves, and got nothing of note. Then later that week I actually got a silver quarter in change at the grocery store! Occasionally I see a dime in change, but I was really surprised to see a quarter. I knew it by the sound it made as soon as the cashier put it my hand, but I waited until I got out of the store to check for sure. I was so excited!
My point is, there's cool stuff out there waiting to be found, and you never know where it's going to pop up so keep looking!

You are doing well, subject 15837. You are a good person.
It's possible that, with a large amount of halves, it could be a "drop off" bank
for a regular half dollar hunter, and nothing will show up.
But, where your wife if working at the bank, you should have no trouble returning the rolls; with that
in mind, might still want to simply clear the vault of the remaining $900 before someone else comes in
looking for halves.
Worth a shot; happy hunting !!
