As for this being the last year for the series, I would doubt it. They'll probably be in the mint and proof sets next year, at least, IMO. They've been suspended from being struck for circulation, same as what happened to the SBA after 1980. That doesn't mean they're dead. The SBA came back in 1999 when the stockpiles finally dwindled. When demand dictates it, more Sacs will be struck for circulation. Assuming of course, that something doesn't happen inbetween, such as a change in design or legislation that somehow determines its fate. They won't be dead until legislation passes into law that declares them dead.

Just what I've heard. No credible info.
<< <i>I hope it isn't the last year. They are awsome coins! I've got a PR69 Deep Cameo. Of course it's PCGS graded. Only the best for me! >>
The 69 that you have isn't the best... I have the best- it's in a proof set, and I can see it's flawless. No one else needed to tell me...
<< <i>Is the Mint getting better proofing the SAC's? >>
No. PCGS just decided to start making PR70DCAMs again. The pops for all the 2003 proof coins are rising at warp speed.

none of my 2003's came back 70dcam. But i see a lot of the same sellers who always get 70dcams from PCGS selling some on eBay.
