Hi Guys, This group of collectors represents my closest 1972 Topps friends (past and present). I wanted all of you to hear it from me first that my plan is the retire my 1972 Topps set on 10/24/03 (Neil B. Downey and Sons Collection). I have been able to secure the last cards that I needed to complete my set with all cards being PSA 8 NQ or higher. This was always my master plan. Collecting and completing this set has been one of the greatest feats of my life. I enjoyed every minute of it. Unlike most of you, it is not my intention (nor my budget) to upgrade these cards in the coming years. Therefore, I've decided to retire it and sell most of it to help me collect two other new adventures. The primary set is a PSA 6/7 graded 1956 Topps set and the secondary set is a PSA 7/8 graded 1965 Topps set. I believe that both of these sets are outstanding in their design and player content. I do not intend to have a fire sale of these 1972 Topps cards. However, If any of you wish to make me a fair offer for any I would be willing to work with each of you on a first come/first served basis. It would give me great pleasure to continue the friendships that I have forged with each of you in the future even if we now collect different sets. Thank you all for your friendship, advice and help with this set and perhaps with the sets that we will be working on in the future. Good Luck! Neil

I am one of the newest guys beginning on the 1972 set and would appreciate the chance to see if I can buy some cards from you. I am looking for PSA 8's only, as I don't feel like chasing the costs involved on 9's on such a big set. Would it best for me to send you a list of what I need? Also, for non-low pop commons I would appreciate knowing what you price you are looking for per card. Thanks and please LMK how you would like to proceed. You can e-mail me at: swolfe@crosslink.net
