searching for half dollars

Hey guys and girls,
Let me tell you that from experience, that looking through rolls of halfs DOES pay off. Two years ago I was on a quest and I found hundreds, of silver Kennedys, Franklins AND Walkers. NO LIE. My wife thought I was nuts untill she saw what I was finding. I'M STILL HOOKED, but I don't have the time I use to.
Also, I had some bad experiences with tellers when I turned in the unwanted ones but it was worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a similar experience when I wanted to start a Kennedy collection. Started with a few hundred dollars at some local banks. I was able to get about 3/4 of the dates, with about half of those in AU or uncirculated condition. Also some silver and several Franklins. The savings from having to buy those coins was applied to the purchased of the ones I still needed.
It's the same logic I taught my some for collecting his Jefferson and Lincoln collection
