I'd go to priceline and pick a three star hotel in the Inner Harbor area. Any of them is a close walk to the convention center. I'm staying at the Marriot this time. I have have stayed at the Renaissance before and another one I can't remember the name of. If you are driving into town, pick a hotel in the Inner Harbor so you only have to pay parking once a day. If you stay out a ways, you might end up paying for parking at your hotel and near the convention center. Hope this helps. Mark
If you are looking for something different I would recommend the Admiral Fell Inn. It's in the inner harbor and located within walking distance of many excellent restaurants. It was built in the 1700's and each room is different and decorated in colonial attire. A very neat and historical place. We stayed there for the ANA convention this summer and will go back there the next time we go to Baltimore. It's about a $7.00 taxi ride which is much cheaper than finding parking. It's located at 888 S. Broadway in Historic Fells Point. Phone: 410-522-7377. They also have a website at www.AdmiralFell.com. I still have a couple of notepads we took from the Hotel, that's why I have all this info!!
Great suggestion....Fells Point is nice....take the harbor taxi (well Ok...summer is nicer) - all day pass for only a few bucks and a short walk to the convention center.

First trip I stayed at the Hyatt, this year I was at the Holiday Inn.
The Hyatt is essentially attached to the convention center so it couldn't be any closer, but it was pricey. The Holiday Inn was a few blocks away but only a 10 minute walk and a lot cheaper. I don't need much from a hotel (sleep/shower/park) so just about anything is OK by me.

I've parked at Camden Yards on the other side of the convention center from the show. It's only $5 there, and walking 2-3 blocks is good for you. Funny how we'll spend umpteen dollars on coins, but try to save a few bucks on parking
I live down the street from the hotel -- the first floor still smells like a little like a basement in the wake of the hurricane that flooded the place out. Nice place though. I can usually make it to Baltimore from Annapolis in about 30 mins.
The Mariott at Eutaw and Pratt is a nice spot. Of course, many of the locals make due on the benches near the Convention Center -- they seem to be coin collectors too.

The Harbor Court is HANDS DOWN the best Hotel in Baltimore AND the whole state of Maryland for that matter. It has the ONLY 5-star dining in the state AND is AAA 5-diamond. It is 2 blocks from the convention center.
