What are the best & worst sportscard websites

My votes:

Best:

Lloyds link to Lloyds

Why: It's clean...easy to navigate...updated regularly...and has a scan of every card in the inventory

Worst:

Maraya Sportscards Link to Maraya

Why: It's cluttered...the inventory isn't even organized...never seems to be updated...it offers little to no information

Also, for sheer volume, 707 is hard to beat

Regards,

Alan

  • Best: http://www.t206.com/index.cfm

    Worst: http://gfg.com/.

I should note that I have bought from both sites. T206.com's prices can be a bit wacky, but I like the site for its ease of use.

With http://gfg.com/, I feel like they have an inventory that can rank up there with the best in the business, but the site is massively disorganized. I find it hard to locate anything!

Both sites have top-notch customer service with great willingness to discuss possible transactions and examine cards or send scans. I am just commenting on the sites.

Here's a link to a bunch of card sites
    Runscottslinks
Some dealer sites, supply sites, and informational sites.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

  • Let me first admit my bias - I think that Dave Levin, who owns Dave's sportscards is about the best it gets in this business.

Now that I've got that out of the way, yes, Dave's site could be a little better organized, but I think he had the first "point and click" interactive site in the business. (I might be wrong about that, but he had to be one of the very first) I began buying from him in early 1999 and the ability to buy stuff right on line - card by card according to grade - was a big factor in drawing me back into the hobby. Dave's a class act and even though I don't buy much from him these days, I do enjoy talking with him from time to time. OK, end of advertisement.

I'm also a big fan of Levi's (loads of info there) and Kruk Cards's site. Ooops, there I go again.....
  • Mickey's

Awesome dealer with awesome cards that are ACCURATELY graded. I just bought a bunch of 1971 Football which he advertised as NRMT-MT. When i received them all i could say was WOW, I actually thought they were UNDERGRADED.

    Braves
  • I would have to say my top 3 are peter at www.champsandbums.com rick at www.mintstateinc.com and also mike at www.nearmint.com. all are updated on a reg basis ,very big issue for me some guys are lucky to update there info 1 time a year. Also all 3 are laid out in a very easy to read format with great search links to all sports.

    Speaking of Bias:

Very good friends of mine (Gary & Ann) have a nice little web site that most of you may have never seen.

Check them out and if you see something you like, tell them Carlos sent you!!!

    Top Shelf Cards

    Carlos

    Best Site:

    Keppler

    Worst Site:

BaseBall Card Exchange (Text doesn't fit on the page correctly on my computer) (Have to keep scrolling over)
  • I like jay's site, easy to navigate, just click on the card of the year you want!
  • Carlos thanks for that link nice site that is a new 1 for me. May i suggest that you pass along that they get rid of all the sold stuff 50% of listings are sold. But still a nice site have bookmarked it and check back again image

I would have to concur with Skinsfan as far as football sites go. Those are the 3 sites I visit most often for "off ebay" graded football...

Mintstate's is nice - it would be great if they could respond to an email question.

Thanks for the plug, skinsfan and jasp24. Playing with my website is much more fun than my real job!

For coolest site, I'll vote for Mickey's. I'm actually kind of envious. Guess I have some work to do!
