Opinions on this 1962 Proof Cent .

I sent in my 3 free gradings for my type set with variations (and completed that set in at the #10 position)

I didn't need the 62 cent, but it fit in the set so it was eligible.

LINE # CERT # COIN DATE DENOMINATION VARIETY GRADE
1 21356535 1909 1C Lincoln MS63RB
2 21356536 1962 1C Artificial Color
3 21356537 1927 25C XF45 (the seller and I were off by 5-10 pts here image )

It's pretty funky looking. I got it off eBay (no it wasn't ToneCoin2003)
The tell tale sign for me is the 3rd side. On the edge there is a straight line around the coin with 2 colors of copper. I like it though. I'll probably ship it off to ANACS and see what they note on the label.

If we define natural as happening over an extended period of time by accident rather than deliberately, it's natural. If we define natural as something that a grading service will like - whether real or not ("market acceptable") - well... that's a whole other story. Fact is that proof Lincolns can tone up all kinds of funky ways depending on how they've been stored. Some are not going to be graded.

NGC might grade it though. They've graded some neon Lincolns for me that PCGS had bodybagged.
