Alou had a chance to catch a pop up, but a fan batted it away.

Error by Alex Gonzalez that cost the Cubs the game.

Quit complainin'. Gonzalez cost em the game, not the fan. If the Cubs were truly meant to go to the World Series, they will win tomorrow or they would have won one of the first three games, regardless of everything that has happened. Ignorant fools...

Cubs lose by 5 runs and Cubs fans are blaming it on one foul popup??? Alou's inability to catch the foul ball did not cost you the game. How about sacking up and playing through the error or the "horrible injustice?" I'm rooting for the Cubs by the way. They better win Game 7.

Not saying that cost em the game, but if alou catches the ball, there are 2 out, with no runs scored.

Cubs are going to lose. I am a Cubs fan, but something about the franchise, its doomed, like the Red Sox.

As if it's not enought for the cubs to break there almost 50 year losing streak of not making it to the world series and almost 100 years since winning a world series but you have aa so called "fan" trying to rob u of everything. If I knew that guy.. i would be paying him back over and over for what he did. Not to mention alou was totally pissed, gonzalez prolly was distracted, and the whole team were prolly totally thinking about that ball. But all in all if may not have been the kids fault but the blame probally most certainly will be left on him, or the "curse of the da*goat" !As long as Cubs WIN WIN WIN TONIGHT i will forget the RETARDED stunt that idiot kid did, but now if they lose that's a different story, there will be riots at that kids house.

its not the fans fault once the ball crosses that wall its fair game and if any fan were to touch so what
on the second hand when a ground ball is it to you as that one was hit to the short stop right after it you should be able to turn too speacilly if you think your a world series contender
as much as i like the cubs its going to be the sox vs. marlins but im not goin to blame that fan

And actually, you can blame a game on one play. A single home run in a 0-0 game can be the game winner, and that would be the play that cost the game.

BTW, that ball didnt look like it was in the stands. It no one had touched it, I think it would have landed on the field.
