Why is a 1936-D MS67FB more expensive than a 35-S MS67FB? There is something weird going on with these prices. The 36-D is more common in all MS grades across the board including MS67FB, yet according to the CU price guide the 36-D is worth more in MS60FB, MS63FB, and MS67FB. The MS64FB, MS65FB, and MS66FB seem about right in relationship to the relative pops IMHO.

Dig out your Blue Sheet and go by it or go to Heritage and check auction prices.
My answer to your original question.....No Friggin Idea.
Hey today was my first day of "No Work". Sort of Bored already. Going Junk Yard Diving tomorrow.

Well, I don't know about you, but I figure in most cases my buying price is somewhere between 60 and 70% of CU or like you said, some extrapolation of Heritage auction results. Hey, PM me about this junk yard diving, sounds like something I would be good at. Tell me what to look for. Tough down here though as everything rust so badly. Maybe you will find your calling by being the worlds greatest early Ford used parts dealer! Break a torque wrench.

interesting - the 35S is "supposed" to be a tougher date - Lange has it at R4 compared to R3 for the 36D. Maybe check Heritage previous auction history for these two dates you may find some of your answers - on a same note that query goes with so many other series and dates thruout U.S. coins altogether - I probably would go nuts trying to figure it out.....
I recently upgraded 35S to 67FB I had a tough time finding an example I could live with - these seems to be equally tough in true grade.
